For diving in especially cold water, it is advisable to equip the Mares first stage with the CWD (Cold Water Diving) kit. The CWD kit is a device that completely insulates all parts of the first stage from direct contact with water. The main spring is completely immersed in silicone oil, isolating it from the outside environment and protecting it against the formation of ice crystals. What's In The Bag? We've designed this bag system to be used in several configurations. In the "Warm Water" configuration we easily put the following items in a Travel Bag, Spider Bag, FinCaddy & TurtlePack. TurtlePack The TurtlePack is included with the TravelBag and is perfect for quick access items while traveling. The TurtlePack is attached by 4 side release buckles and has a heavy duty zipper opening. The entire TravelBag system fits inside the TurtlePack when not in use. Water Sports-What is the difference between snorkeling & Scuba Diving?
Which one is better & safer?Is it safe to participate in these sports without knowing swimming?
The difference is snorkeling and scuba diving is when snorkeling, you are laying flat on the surface of the water, with mask, snorkel & fins, looking down in water below you. You are breathing through the snorkel with the open end above the water - the other end is in your mouth. It's a good idea to know how to swim; however, you can wear a Life Jacket and it will keep you buoyant. Make sure it is the right size and fits securely. If you are renting your gear, most rental facilities have the PFDs (personal flotation devices) available - in fact, it's a good idea to wear one anyway, for safety and visibility.
When you Scuba Dive, you are below the surface - in depths ranging from 40-100 ft of water. You should be certified because you have to understand your equipment, dangers, emergency procedures, etc. It's a great, fun sport - and I would hope you have some swimming skills.
